I'd be having a cup of tea after Mass on a Sunday morning and Bridie would come towards me with that cloth bag, and I'd remember it was time for the monthly 200 club draw. Then I'd draw the number, or get someone else to draw it, and she'd start flicking through the cards in her wee index box to tell me who it was. I remember getting a drumroll app for my phone so we could add a bit of tension to that moment! Bridie put a lot of work into the 200 Club and into many other things in a lifetime of patient devotion and quiet service to her faith and to the community at the Sacred Heart Lauriston. She will be sorely missed. May she enjoy her reward in heaven.
